A small engineering firm wanted to encourage their employees to transition to smartphone-based surveying, in order to reduce equipment costs and streamline sharing of data. The firm wanted a dynamic learning experience that would benefit employees long-term, rather than exist as a one-time learning module that learners would read and forget.
To address these needs, I created a module that engineers could access in the field, serving as both an introduction to the basics of land surveying with a smartphone and as a comprehensive reference guide where employees could easily retrieve specific information to help them respond to a variety of real-world problems. The module includes opportunities for further learning, so that once engineers have mastered the basics, they can build upon their skills to take their phone-based surveying to the next level.
